The history

From the “Cavallanti” of our family’s ancient tradition… to a leader in the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical products.

The future way

From our beginnings in 1960 to today, we are building our future.

1960

Where it all started

The history of the Ferrari Eugenio Group begins in 1960 with the roar of a Lancia Esatau and Eugenio’s vision, who carried on and renewed the family’s longstanding tradition in transportation. His father and grandfather were already “cavallanti”—tireless haulers of wood and vegetables with horse-drawn carts. From rural roads to a rapidly developing Italy, the transition to a formal business was a natural step.

1969

The first trucks

Eugenio founded Ferrari Eugenio Trasporti, transforming a single-vehicle operation into a small company with five vehicles. Already in the early 1970s, the company introduced the first ebonite-lined tankers for transporting chloroderivatives, thanks to its strategic proximity to Elettrochimica Solfuri in Tavazzano. This forward-looking investment positioned Ferrari Eugenio among the pioneers in Italy for ebonite tank transport.

1980

The years of development

During the 1980s, the company’s growth continued steadily, supported by targeted investments in human resources and technology. The introduction of new tankers allowed expansion into other chemical sectors. In the second half of the decade, with the entry of Eugenio’s sons, Maurizio and Donante, the business gained new momentum: insulated tankers for temperature-controlled transport were introduced, meeting the increasingly specific needs of major multinational chemical companies.

1990

The intermodal transport

In the 1990s, intermodal transport developed significantly, with regular shipments utilizing the nearby Tavazzano terminal to connect to major European destinations. The fleet was also expanded, and the company acquired tank container semi-trailers to fully operate across all phases of intermodal transport.

1993

The first certification

Always committed to quality and safety, our Group was among the first in Italy to be certified under UNI-EN-ISO standards, as demonstrated by our historic certification number 74, obtained back in 1993. Today, we proudly hold UNI-EN-ISO 9001:2008 and SQAS certifications, along with authorizations for the transport of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, confirming our dedication to high standards and full compliance.

2000

Logistics service

In the 2000s, leveraging its strategic location in the Milan area, the company diversified its activities by entering the logistics sector with the development of dedicated warehouses. Today, we offer flexible and timely solutions for logistics and storage services, enhancing the value of our offerings.
